Mother Daughter Chat with Tammy and Carrington Franklin (Ep 62)

Treasured with Courtney DeFeo - A podcast by Courtney DeFeo

It's our second Mother-Daughter chat ! This means you can listen to this episode with your daughter (age 10 and up). In this episode, Tammy and Carrington Franklin give us fantastic advice and encouragement about our BODIES! From body image to inner beauty to self care to eating well and exercising - this episode is packed with wisdom and fun. Tammy Franklin is an Arlington, Texas native who is passionate about family and women. She’s been happily married to her best friend, GRAMMY Award-winning gospel artist, Kirk Franklin, for 23 years. Together, they have four children ranging from ages 19 to 30. Prior to marrying Kirk Franklin, Tammy was a single mother for 5 years, and knows first hand the hurt and shame of disappointing her self and family after becomingpregnant as a freshman in college. But, it was the added heartache of being ridiculed and overly judged by her church community that eventually led Tammy to want to help fill a void for young girls and women who find themselves in similar situations. Having walked through disappointments, shame, rejection, but also great joy, and success. Tammy now has a desire to nurture, encourage, and equip women of all ages to be who they are created to be. Believing that when women come together to share both their triumphs as well as their failures, an atmosphere of real authenticity is created! Carrington Franklin is 30 years old. She and her husband Maxx just celebrated 3 years of marriage. They’ve live in Dallas, Texas where Carrington is CEO and Creative Director of her boutique branding firm, Liz Kennedy Brand Management. She received her bachelors in Journalism PR from Baylor University and masters in Communications/Organizational Management from Dallas Baptist University. She has a passion for faith, fitness and all things branding.
