In the spirit of finding something squirmy to talk about for Halloween, Shannon brings us Irish folklore about Changelings- the creepy type of fairy you wouldn’t want anywhere near your children, for fear they might be swapped out, and left in place of your beloved offspring would now remain this creature whom you would need to care for in fear that if you did not, your real child would suffer. The tragic and disturbing case of Bridget Cleary is also covered, though she was not a child, in 1895, her husband murdered her after accusing her of being a Changeling.
