Today we delve into Winter Solstice, also known as Yule or Mid Winter It happens each year for those of us in the Southern Hemisphere around the 20th - 23rd June, and for our cousins in the North around the 21st / 22nd December, so right around Christmas time where so many pagan traditions & symbolisms have been incorporated... more about that in this episode! Winter Solstice is the longest night of the year... the earth is in it's deepest slumber, a time of severe cold and darkness in many lands. It's a time to celebrate the returning of the light, the sun and warmth. Days can only get brighter from this point on! And a strong reminder that after death there is always rebirth.
