The gender wage gap has been closing gradually in the UK, as in other countries, but convergence is slower among top earners. We examine the gap among university Vice Chancellors who are among the most highly paid employees in the UK. We examine why possible reasons for this closure in the gender wage gap among Vice Chancellors.
