Beat Jegerlehner

By day, Beat Jegerlehner is a software engineer with Google, but set him loose, and Beat participates in events that make mere ultrarunners look timid.  A thousand miles across Alaska? Check. Tor des Geants? Check. HURT? Check. Beat tells me (and my dad!) about the specifics and logistics of participating in a race that takes over three weeks–and over $1k worth of food– to complete.
