Rickey Gates Interview

Rickey Gates rides around the country on his motorcycle and races seemingly any distance that strikes his fancy…from 3 miles up a 60deg pitch in Alaska to the Canadian Death Race to racing the stairs up the Empire State Building. This weekend, he’s riding to Utah to run Speedgoat 50k, a race he finished second in in 2012, a mere 4 minutes behind one Kilian Jornet.  In this interview, we talk about the intensity of Mt Marathon, the aesthetic of riding to races, what he expects in Madison, WI, and what it’ll take to win this Saturday.   Episode Notes: Rickey’s running and photography blog.
