The Church & Mental Health with Brittney Moses

Unapologetic with Julia Jeffress Sadler - A podcast by Julia Jeffress Sadler - Wednesdays

The church has long been a source of shame when it comes to mental health, sometimes even using the Bible as a weapon instead of as a source of comfort. But being a Christian does not mean that we never struggle with mental health. God made us body, mind, and spirit, and it is imperative that we adjust the conversation around mental health to support this view. What are we missing? What are we doing right? How can we keep moving forward? As a professional counselor who has worked with thousands of individuals struggling with mental health, this is a topic close to my heart.  Brittney Moses is a mental health advocate and research assistant at UCLA’s Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Behavior. Brittney and her work have been featured in Relevant, New York Weekly, The Chicago Journal, and The Huffington Post. She joins me for this important and encouraging episode!
