#200 Your Mind On Plants (with Michael Pollan)

This week’s guest is Michael Pollan! Michael is an american author and journalist. He is best known for his books that explore the socio-cultural impacts of food, such as The Botany of Desire and The Omnivore's Dilemma. His latest book is This Is Your Mind on Plants - in this book he explores in particular opium, caffeine, and mescaline. We chat about Michael’s research on various drugs, from caffeine to psychedelics. We touch on the idea of transcendence, archetypes and reflect on the incredible power and intelligence all plants possess. They have been evolving a lot longer than we have, what else can they do that we’re not even aware of yet?
