While we enjoyed having some time off to relax and recharge, we couldn’t wait to get back in front of the mics and start recording again. For this week‘s episode, we interviewed Geoff and Alex, two Americans living in Berlin who are also hosts of their own podcast “Americans in Germany Drinking Whiskey”. We all had a ton to say and touched on a lot of different topics—language learning experiences, losing your native language, what habits we’ve adopted from our host countries, and more! We hope you enjoy our first episode back and make sure to go check out the AGDW podcast (links below).  "Americans in Germany Drinking Whiskey" Links: ▸https://www.agdwpodcast.com▸https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC-NXjZVXOVIvqhGlVbdVxSA▸https://www.instagram.com/americans.in.germany.podcast You can listen to this podcast/watch it on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Podbean, Amazon Music, and iHeart Radio! Om Podcasten

In our podcast “Understanding Train Station”, we (Josh and Feli) explore the intricacies and pitfalls of living between cultures. The title is derived from the German idiom “Ich verstehe nur Bahnhof” which literally translates to “I only understand train station”. Similar to the English saying “It’s Greek to me”, it is used to express a lack of understanding which is an all too common feeling when dealing with another culture and living abroad. Feli (aka “Feli from Germany” on YouTube) is a German living in the U.S. and Josh is probably the most “Germanized” American you’ll ever meet.
