From Motown To Kingston
Victor Kiswell’s Windows on the World - A podcast by Radio Primavera Sound - Tuesdays

For my sixth show on Radio Primavera, I’ll link two of my old loves : Motown and reggae. Of course the field has already been explored but I’ll add my own touch, going further than the classic releases from Trojan (I'll include some of them, of course, because I can’t forget them). There will be rocksteady, reggae-soul, dub, and even a surprising digi reggae disco song, sung out of the tune. Then you understand how Smokey Robinson, Norman Whitfield or Holland-Dozier-Holland also had a huge impact on the Jamaican production. Ah yes, I’ve maybe put too much of The Tempts, but hey I liked them a lot.
