We Are Part of Europe but Which Europe?

The Conference on the Future of Europe that commenced earlier this month brings the question of Central Europe's contribution to European integration back to the forefront. How much of the spirit of 1989 remains in the face of democratic backsliding, authoritarian tendencies and economic unsettlement?
