PART II: Ben Holmes

Wall Of Friends - A podcast by William and Jorge

Categories:

On Part II our friend Ben continues to share how hard it was for him to adapt to a new culture during his first year of college and how he thought about going back home to Scotland or even transferring schools.  Do you remember what it was like stepping foot on that one place, that everyone talks about and how surreal it felt? Ben talks to us about how it felt like the very first time he visited L.A. and shares his personal experience there. With the major take away for us to be aware of our surroundings and to remember that not everyone wants to be friends with us. Ben opens up about how he and his girlfriend came about, and the difference between dating in the U.S. compare to the difference to dating in the U.K. and how they were able to make it to work it out during those 16 months apart. With his work going remote before the pandemic hit, Ben talks about how it is like working from home. As well as the importance of getting your job done and being a good quality work. For the fact that, anyone else can come and do our job for us. Over the time he has spent in the States Ben reflects on the quality of life and share the differences between what it would look like living in Europe compare to what is like living here in the States. Be sure to come back for Part III as we ask Ben what inspires him, what he is scared of and how he has been able to manage all these years.
