In Episode 63, we talk to Kanien'kehá:ka (Mohawk) journalist Jessica Ka'nhehsi:io Deer from Kahnawake - an Indigenous journalist who works for CBC Indigenous. She talks to us about her path in journalism and the way in which her culture and identity inform how she writes stories about Indigenous issues. She also shares with us some of the positive ways in which mainstream media has changed in recent years and some of the hard work that still needs to be done.
