It is attended by a global feminist and activist audience of between 200-300. The main focus is how gender ideology is harming the rights of women and girls. This week’s speakers: Dr. Gail Dines - USA Identify Out of This!: Porn and the Material Reality of Women's Bodies - The way post-modernism and third wave feminism have hijacked the feminist analysis of porn from one that focuses on the material reality of men's violence against women to an approach that sees porn as a form empowerment for women Bio: Gail Dines, a Professor Emerita of Sociology and women’s Studies, has been researching and writing about the porn industry for well over thirty years. She is the author of numerous books and articles. Her latest book, Pornland: How Porn Has Hijacked Our Sexuality, has been translated into five languages. A radical feminist for as long as she can remember, she sees fierce activism as the only way out of this patriarchal mess. Izabella Forzani - Brazil Pornography: propaganda and validation of the hatred towards women - Pornography became one of the great challenges in the struggle of women especially from the popularization of the internet. The widespread of violent and misogynistic contents currently affects more and more people, younger by the day. It is past time to acknowledge pornography as a public health issue and to deal with it as such. Maria Dmytrtiyeva - Ukraine Porn in Ukraine: ignored threat - Society is ignorant about the threats of porn, it is considered innocent fun. the children are groomed by adult predators but nobody ackonwledges the connection. teens on the occupied territories are being exploited by porn manufacturers and end up on the Darkweb. Bio: Maria Dmytriyeva, a long-time women's rights activist and national gender expert in Ukraine, for more than 2 decades has been vocal about the violations of women's human rights and different forms of violence and exploitation women in Ukraine and all over the world are facing. In the recent years, she has been actively working on promoting the Women, Peace, Security agenda.
