Feminist Question Time with speakers from Ukraine, USA, Scotland, Spain/UK Women's Declaration International (WDI) Feminist Question Time is our weekly online webinars. It is attended by a global feminist and activist audience of between 200-300. The main focus is how gender ideology is harming the rights of women and girls. You can see recordings of previous panels on our YouTube Channel. WDI is the leading global organisation defending women’s sex-based rights against the threats posed by gender identity ideology. This week’s speakers: Thistle M Pettersen - USA - Reflections on Organizing Recent Madison Feminist Events - I will describe the motivation and methods American women used to come together from various feminist organizations to form Sisters4Sisters, an ad hoc group of feminists who were united behind the banner of free speech for women in response to me being cited with a "hate crime" for allegedly putting up a TERF Collective sticker in Madison, WI, my hometown. I will reflect on our shortcomings, strengths and my hope for next steps we will take to keep the ball rolling. Bio: Thistle is a singer/songwriter, pre-school teacher, eco-feminist, bicycle enthusiast and community gardener living and working in Madison, WI. She founded WLRN in 2016 in response to censorship of lesbian and radical feminist voices on WORT 89.9 FM. Recently, she was cited with a "hate crime" felony charge for allegedly putting up a TERF Collective sticker.
