Aaaah, the sweet solace of being locked under the same roof with your partner for... MONTHS ON END. Many of us are spending a whole lot more time around our partners now that we are self-quarantining during the pandemic, and a funny thing is starting to happen... We are getting super annoyed at the people that are locked down with us. No, there's nothing wrong with you that's making you feel this way. The fact is, this is a difficult period for many people's relationships. That's why Sarah Rice is here to help! Sarah is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Chapman University where she works as an MFT trainee at the Frances Smith Mental Health Center in Orange, California and provides individual, family, and couple’s therapy. You may remember Sarah from her stint on The Real World: Brooklyn, or many of the Challenge shows after, but now she spends her time counseling patients at her family practice in California. And she says nope, there's nothing wrong with feeling like you're going a little stir crazy while you're under the same roof as your family for so long. In this episode we talk: + The best way to get in the mood to have sex (for men and women!) + Why relationships are strained during this period + The things we can do to not blow up at our partners + How to prioritize when you're taking care of everyone, all the time + Are introverts and extroverts truly compatible? + Shifting perspective to gain peace + How to comfort and speak with kids about the pandemic ...and so, SO much more! I'm so grateful Sarah took the time to be on 30 Something and know you'll love what she has to stay about staying sane with your partner during lockdown.
