Highlights:
Guest Bio: Karyn Corbett retired as Senior Director of Business Operations at Cisco Systems in 2018. She spent 28 years as a results-oriented, collaborative leader, who had the opportunity to lead and work with many global, cross-functional teams, and create lasting foundational change. Working with teams to drive business results in a global, matrixed environment is her forte!
Her desire to drive results did not suffer as she moved into retirement. She focused strongly on giving back through volunteering with the Gilroy Chamber of Commerce, the Gilroy Sunrise Rotary Club, and the South County Tailwaggers.
When she and her husband of 26 years moved to Waddell, AZ in Sept 2020, her focus shifted – to fighting ER/PR+, HER-2- breast cancer. After 16 cycles of chemo, a bilateral mastectomy, 28 radiation treatments, and reconstructive surgery, she has joined the Cancer Fighters Network at City of Hope – Phoenix as a volunteer, currently mentoring 3 women through their own cancer journeys.
Karyn lives in AZ with her husband Mike, and enjoys wine tasting, extensive domestic and international travel, and motorcycle riding in her leisure time!
