Toni Bare

Woman By Definition - A podcast by Kellie-Jay

Categories:

This episode is part of series called Commodifying Human Nature where, with guests, I explore commercial surrogacy and its impact on women and children. In 2016 Toni Bare agreed to be a gestational surrogate for a couple in order to make enough money to pay for her own fertility treatment in hopes of having a baby. She now travels and gives interviews to speak out against surrogacy because of her own deeply personal harmful experience. Stop Surrogacy now is an advocacy group who believe that surrogacy should be stopped because it is an abuse of women’s and children’s human rights. They are women and men of diverse ethnic, religious, cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds from all regions of the world.
