My guests this week are Onloan co-founders Tamsin Chislett and Natalie Hasseck. Tamsin and Natalie are two friends with a shared mission to reduce waste, curate brilliant independent designers and reignite a love of clothes without the guilt. In this episode, Tamsin and Nat tell us how they closed Onloan’s angel investment round whilst they were BOTH pregnant, navigating tricky investor questions and flagging energy levels. We discuss how we all need to change the way we acquire clothes and move to a more thoughtful approach to consumption - something we are hopeful that the Coronavirus pandemic could be a catalyst for. And for those of us women who are wondering how on earth we can have a family and a business, Tamsin says: “having a baby is exhausting. Starting a business is exhausting. It’s hard to tell if doing them both at the same time is anymore exhausting, so you might as well just go for it!” This conversation was recorded on 16th April 2020.
