Bias and Bigotry

Erin Cross, the Director of the University of Pennsylvania’s LGBT Center, shares her expertise in gender and transgender issues to help us all understand the concept of the binary lens. We learn about the unintentional ways we create “us versus them” environments, and discover simple tactics to send a more inclusive message to those around us. Laura goes on to talk with Emory Professor George Yancy, author of Dear White America, about the power of honest introspection as a catalyst for curtailing our own subconscious biases.
