Work in Progress with Sophia Bush - A podcast by iHeartPodcasts - Thursdays

Today on Work in Progress, Sophia is joined by Arezu ( @inspire_zu)! Arezu has been practicing yoga and meditation since she was a small child and now teaches various forms of yoga in Los Angeles such as Kundalini, Vinyasa, And Pi-Yo, which is a combination of Yoga and Pilates. At the age of just 14, Arezu became the youngest KRI certified Kundalini teacher in the US. And while her passion for yoga has led her to bring her teachings to collegiate athletes and employees of various government buildings like the Veterans Medical Center and the World Bank, Arezu is far more than a yoga teacher. Her studies at George Washington University had an acute focus on the more humanitarian aspects of International Affairs, and her own humanitarian efforts started even earlier than that. She served as an Ambassador to Healing Bridges from 2007-2012, during which time she raised over $130,000 to build a girl’s school in Sudan, later helping to build a school in Guatemala as well. In 2009, she was awarded the Cynthia Harrell Horn Humanitarian Award. Today, Arezu is dedicated to pushing her students beyond their limitations, as she strives to do in her own life. On today’s episode, Sophia and Arezu discuss what it’s like to be immersed in yoga and meditation as a child, the freedom of showing up as your authentic self, and having an attitude of service in everything you do. Arezu also leads a short mantra meditation that you can try along with Sophia. If you’ve been trying to find a way to slow down and be present, this episode is for you.  Thank you to our sponsors for today’s episode: Framebridge (framebridge.com promo code WIP) Each & Every (eachandevery.com/WIP and use promo code WIP) Organifi (organifi.com/wip) NuCalm (wip NuCalm.com ) Care/of (takecareof.com enter code WIP50) Helix Sleep (helixsleep.com/wip)
