When you get an impression, and you think it might be from God, how do you know? How can you tell? Should we always just simply say, “No, God is done speaking?” Or, should we say, “well, in 1 Thessalonians 5:20-21, Paul tells us, “Do not despise prophecies, but test everything; hold fast what is good,” therefore we should embrace these impressions as from God, every time, in the name of honoring prophecy? The Bible teaches us the importance of testing messages, testing “spirits,” to see whether they are from God (1 John 4:1). So I want to share 9 ways you can answer the question, “How to know if God is speaking to you.” Subscribe to the Think Update for tips and tools to help you explain, share and defend your faith: https://thethink.institute/articles/update Support the Settecase Family & Think Institute: https://give.cru.org/1018841 Book Joel to speak: https://thethink.institute/contact Search the website: https://thethink.institute/search Listen to the Think Podcast: Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/this-is-apologetics/id1462722483?uo=4 Stitcher: https://www.stitcher.com/podcast/think-institute/this-is-apologetics TuneIn: https://tunein.com/podcasts/Religion--Spirituality-Podcas/This-Is-Apologetics-p1222836/ Anchor: https://anchor.fm/the-think-podcast SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/user-315260725 Follow us: Facebook: https://fb.me/thethinkinstitute Twitter: https://twitter.com/thinkinst Instagram: https://instagram.com/thethinkinstitute Thinkspot: https://www.ts.today/user_feed/?user_id=25673 Get a free catechism, slide presentations and books: https://thethink.institute/print-resources Think Podcast intro music from https://filmmusic.io "Killers" by Kevin MacLeod (https://incompetech.com) License: CC BY (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/) Think Podcast outro music from https://filmmusic.io "Sneaky Snitch" by Kevin MacLeod (https://incompetech.com) License: CC BY (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/)
