Today’s guest is a financial educator, podcaster, and soon to be author, Eugenie George.  Her path to where she is today, as the founder of Money and Flow didn’t start with finances. In fact, she spent her first years after college working as a teacher until things all seemed to hit rock bottom at once.  After being evicted, fired, and losing a close friend to suicide, Eugenie refused to give up. She researched how to get herself out the hole she was in and the information she learned along the way instilled in her a passion for helping women of color with financial wellness.  Today Eugenia will share with us more about the path that led her to financial education and some of what her upcoming book is going to be teaching on.  In This Episode We Discuss: The entreprenuerial spirit that was in Eugenia from childhood How she went from having paid off student loans, a savings account and building a business to broke and evicted The importance of doing the research to know you aren’t alone How relationships can impact your finances and the importance of who you surround yourself with Why transparency about finances is important for you and others You can download the first chapter of Eugenie’s upcoming book Our Money Stories at her website here and you can follow along with her work and story on Twitter. And, don’t forget to check out her podcast Monday and Flow.
