The silver lining in what otherwise could be quite an emotionally-charged kind of month is the fact that the “family” of Eclipses in the signs of Cancer and Capricorn are finally, at long last, coming to an end! The major events over the last two years have been mainly focused on the themes of these two signs, which are essentially themes of security, safety, and structure. 

August is the type of month where we have to stop, just for a moment, Take in a breath. And another. And then another. There’s a lot going on, but it’s not dramatic—it’s simply life stuff. The beginning of the month, true to Leo Season, is all focused on fire energies – that is to say, passion, aggression, will power, focus, creativity, and independence! Leo is a sign that simply doesn’t take no for an answer and the beginning of the month sees a time of digging your heels in – but also a need to compromise and find balance, find the softer moments between following the rules and adhering to societal limitations. There’s a sense of wanting to break free, which is exactly what the signs of both Leo and Aquarius truly want—opposite signs are often two sides of the same coin, no matter how much the signs involved deny that they have anything in common with each other! Aquarius is all about individuality and freedom of expression, and integrating that within a community or group. Leo supports the fight for self-hood and individuation— through needs to stand out from the crowd and be a leader. Can you find both of these astrological Archetypes within you this month? We can get into a routine as the month closes, and with lady Venus sliding into gentle, nurturing Cancer, our love life looks rosy and loving.
