It’s a Cardinal kinda week, astrologically speaking. Cardinal, for those who don’t know already, is a “quality,” a way of expression – a style, so to speak. The term is derived from the start of a season, and so, its means initiation, beginnings, leadership, starting, generating. With five planets in Cardinal signs - Cancer, Capricorn and Aries – it’s the sorta week where you really wanna be at the helm, navigating your own ship and calling the shots. This week offers a brief, much-needed respite before all the planetary drama taking place next week (watch this space!). The cosmos is asking us to take a deep, deep breath before we dive in! Some of us may be already experiencing the inset of the Total Solar Eclipse next week, so if you’re feeling tired, drained and as if “something” is coming, well, you’re totally tuned in! In fact, this week’s main aspects involve the Sun – the indicator of our vitality, health, wellbeing and identity. It’s important this week that you boost yourself in all ways. Detox if you can, regulate your exercise routine and get all the things done that you need to, so that next week has plenty of open space. The first of the Sun’s aspects is a shady square to Neptune. You may feel a little lost, as if you’re fumbling through the dark without a compass. It’s easy to lose sense of purpose and feel as if you’re swaying this way and that, and you’ll likely be feeling pretty tired, too. This can be great for those of you who are healers and artists, but you may be lacking clarity. Try and sit with yourself and listen to your higher self carefully. It’s also easy to be fooled with this aspect, so try not to make any major decision just yet. You still need all your facts, before you can move ahead. Don’t look for escape in unhealthy places – go to nature, immerse yourself in water or pray/meditate. This is a very proactive use of Neptune’s befuddled energies. With this aspect, along with a confusing Mercury-Neptune square, it’s going to be hard to know what’s what. Something may be uncovered this week, about yourself or someone / something else, that wasn’t seen before. It’s important to keep your senses tuned and awake, and not tell yourself what you want to hear. In other words, a reality check is needed over the week. This aspect can have you tuning into your “gut” feelings a little more closely, and following your innate intuition. The best aspect going on this week is the Sun-Mars trine. Despite this week’s confusion, you will take end up taking action where you need to. This trine is in the fire element, so you’re ready to make a real difference in the way you act and do things. “Sorry” is not just a word – it’s a deed. And you’re not taking anything less. This aspect gives you fire, passion, power and motivation, and you’ll end up finishing far more than you thought you would! It’s a great aspect to use if you want to get rid of extra physical energy, through boxing or other aggressive activities.
