Let me know how your month’s going?  Mercury retrograde is in a capricious mood as October begins, first creating an obstinate square against Pluto on October 1st but then hinting at opportunities ahead during a trine with Jupiter, also retrograde, on October 3rd. Count these as practice runs ahead of Mercury and Jupiter turning direct later in the month – plan to take advantage of later upswings in good fortune. The Libra New Moon on October 6th conjuncts Mars in a show of diplomatic force – ‘soft power’ at its best, both on the world stage and in our personal lives. The following day, Venus leaves vengeful Scorpio for the more egalitarian and optimistic vibes of Sagittarius, freeing us from emotional angst and opening doors to friendship. Mid-month is the best time by far for business, career goals and ambitions. The Sun trines an expansive but still retrograde Jupiter on October 15th, allowing for huge dreams and optimistic priorities; a few days later on the 18th, Mars repeats this trine with a newly direct motion Jupiter, giving the green light to all manner of projects. A very bold Aries Full Moon on October 20th opposes Mars, warning us not to get carried away. The final ten days of October are a tough sell, with a forceful and angry Mars-Pluto square on October 22nd being especially trying. The Sun’s arrival in brooding Scorpio on the 23rd doesn’t exactly lift moods, and the Venus-Neptune square on the 26th is confusing and time-wasting.  The month rounds out with a major obstacle, courtesy of the Sun-Saturn square on October 30th.
