It’s a Cardinal kinda week, astrologically speaking. Cardinal, for those who don’t know already, is a “quality,” a way of expression – a style, so to speak. The term is derived from the start of a season, and so, its means initiation, beginnings, leadership, starting, generating. With five planets in Cardinal signs - Cancer, Capricorn and Aries – it’s the sorta week where you really wanna be at the helm, navigating your own ship and calling the shots. This week has a dreamy, electric feel to it. The two most active planets, Venus and Mercury, are in emotional Scorpio and making some interesting aspects. However, the big cosmic news is Neptune, planet of delusions, illusions and fantasies, moving Direct. He transforms these qualities through his Direct motion, becoming a lot less confusing, and a lot more inspiring. Depending on where this falls in your own Natal chart, you may feel as if a certain area of life gains clarity and direction. You’ve probably had hella lessons around boundaries somewhere (for example, in your love life, career or finances), and Neptune is asking you to now, enforce those – lovingly. Boundaries are meant to be flexible, and we can only learn to create them once we’ve had them broken. It’s just one of those funny life things, right? In Pisces, Neptune is powerfully spiritual, and this also may herald a period where we can move forward with greater confidence in spiritual direction, or perhaps even in an altruistic direction. For example, we can sign up to volunteer at the local animal shelter or be brave enough to book a flight to India to do a meditation course. We may even just feel this very subtly – we could have a more sensitive heightened week, for example. This is especially true considering the Mercury-Neptune trine. Mentally, we are soaring to greater heights over the week, and conversations take on a shiny, empathetic and profound tone. The hard truths of Scorpio become softened by the gentle tenderness of Neptune, and our secret aspirations become illuminated by creative vibes! This may have you grabbing a brush and paint or watching a theatre production – anything that takes your mind to fantastical places. It’s a time to stretch your imagination to spread your wings, to dream a pretty dream. Mercury also makes a sweet sextile to both Jupiter and Saturn in Capricorn giving us the gift of grounding. These inspirations and aspirations with Neptune have the chance to become something more. Something stable, solid and lasting. We’re both wafty as well as practical, and we are looking to plant these ideas in fertile soil. In love, Venus in Scorpio, usually jealous and possessive, casts an opposition to freedom- seeking Uranus. This may have our love lives geting a bit of a shock or wake up call, especially if we’ve been allowing obsessions or toxic habits to get in the way of true relating. Some of us may have financial surprises, so this is not a week for planning. Go with the flow and try to surrender to the gift of spontaneity!
