The silver lining in what otherwise could be quite an emotionally-charged kind of month is the fact that the “family” of Eclipses in the signs of Cancer and Capricorn are finally, at long last, coming to an end! The major events over the last two years have been mainly focused on the themes of these two signs, which are essentially themes of security, safety, and structure. Well, well, well. Hello there, November! It’s the penultimate month until the end of the year, and we may look back at the year past, scratching our heads and wondering what on Earth just happened? Where did this year go? Places! It went places! So, what does November hold? For one thing, November has an Eclipse. Yes, our very favorite thing. These celestial events accelerate growth to a point where all we want is for it to stop! Eclipse months are special though, and do represent that crucial turning point, both for us personally, and for the world at large. The Eclipse “family” has hosted into the Gemini/Sagittarius axis, which has us needing to check and double-check our facts, our beliefs, and our knowledge. It’s time to start talking in new ways, to change our minds and philosophies, and to educate ourselves. This is what this month is all about, darling, so best brush up! You don’t want to be left behind! The best news about this month, on the heels of Eclipse news, is that Mars, planet of war, is finally moving Direct! This calls for serious hoorays and celebration! The last four to six months have been tricky, with all kinds of difficult tensions, projects going on hold, and upsets. Where in your life have you felt held back, limited, discouraged, and forced to be patient? Well, now you can move forward, hopefully with a greater sense for managing your energy, anger, and with a more assertive (rather them aggressive) air. Mercury also moves direct, as does Neptune, helping you to see things far more clearly than you have in quite some time, and to be able to communicate it. Decisions are made now, important decisions, and the mist feels like it’s clearing — at last! However, Mercury does make two difficult aspects to rigid Saturn early in the month, asking you to take stock, to watch out for fear in projections, and to be realistic. Mercury does all this before he dives into deep Scorpio, heralding a month of big conversions, and bigger revelations. Venus follows hot on his heels and she, too slides into Scorpio but not until the end of the month. Unfortunately, our lady of love, while dignified in Libra, does make more than a few challenging squares to the titans Saturn, Pluto, and Jupiter. This may reflect a tense, insecure vibe in our love lives and brings up questions of commitment and power. How do we handle this with diplomacy and compromise, of course, just as Libra likes it? The New Moon in Scorpio also offers a deep look into our intimate relationships and how we share power — how we act as a team. It’s time to open up and go inside, and to set intentions to heal and transform. We end on a lighter note as the Sun shines into sunny Sagittarius, bringing adventure, freedom, and possibility.
