It’s a Cardinal kinda week, astrologically speaking. Cardinal, for those who don’t know already, is a “quality,” a way of expression – a style, so to speak. The term is derived from the start of a season, and so, its means initiation, beginnings, leadership, starting, generating. With five planets in Cardinal signs - Cancer, Capricorn and Aries – it’s the sorta week where you really wanna be at the helm, navigating your own ship and calling the shots.

It’s been kind of a crazy year so far, right? Right. From a pandemic to economic crises and eclipses, we’ve all had a bumpy ride of some kind. This period of time, however, particularly this week, is a period where we can start to see the world coming right again. In a way, that is. Why? Well, Saturn and Pluto are finally moving Direct after many moons of Retrograde motion, and these two rascals were the ones responsible for triggering all the mess in the first place! Therefore, once they move Direct, it’s a time when we can begin to move forward and clean up in aisle five, so to speak.

In our personal lives, this reflects a week of starting to take more responsibility, to be able to put more structures in place in our lives — which is needed after a period of chaos. It’s a slow start, and nothing can be expected right way, but it’s a start, at least. Where in your life can you begin to move forward in a more responsible, measured way? Where in life have you dealt with fear or insecurity, and are perhaps feeling little more adult about things now?

Pluto Direct asks us to empower ourselves, and to ask similar questions to the above. For example, where have we felt powerless, or felt like our lives were out of control? Has it been in love, or money, or career? Slowly, slowly, we can bring a sense of more empowerment to the area of life that has been most battered of late!

There’s a little hitch in all of this — the second Mars-Saturn square in a series of three, has us battering the gates in frustration, and feeling very tense and aggressive. However, this is also a time when we can go a different way, instead of running with our heads against the same wall. We are asked to endure a little longer, to fight a little harder — but to fight smart. We could come up against restrictions this week, which has us going all kinds of crazy. But if we are disciplined, we can totally get through this!

The fiery Aries Full Moon reflects this warrior-like energy, and is a time of life when we find our inner fighter coming out to play! It’s a hell of a week for work, a week where we may find ourselves “going solo” in a number of areas. Again, let’s just be careful of rushing in too fast, too hard, too impulsively. Take a deep breath, honey!

Love offers a sense of peace, at least. Venus makes a final aspect to Mars in a fiery trine before she marches out of proud Leo. This week can be passionate, and red-hot for relationships of all kinds. You’ll be feeling oh-so-sexy and in charge, and this is definitely a time to get your kinks out to play! As she moves into stable, peaceful, organized Virgo, you may be sad that you missed the opportunity to get your fire on! Landing in this earth sign, she brings a sense of grounding and stability to relationships, though she may be guilty of nit-picking and perfection-seeking, too.
