Episode 74 - The Half-Life of Enthusiasm

Your Ultimate Life with Kellan Fluckiger - A podcast by Kellan Fluckiger

In this episode, we talk about excitement. We’ve all had the feeling of wanting something so badly we can hardly contain ourselves. We drive all over town or call endless stores to find exactly what we want. Sometimes after we do that, and we have “the thing,” we feel some remorse. What’s up? Buyer’s remorse is a doubt about the wisdom of some action. It happens not just with purchases, but with choices and actions of all kinds. Another example is when we read a book, see a video, or go to a conference. We make promises to ourselves about new and better things we will do. We don’t, and then we feel bad. Why does the power of excitement fade so quickly? How can we use that knowledge? Thank you for listening to today's podcast. Tomorrow we'll talk criticism and naysayers. I'm sure that many of us have a lot of issues, stories, blocks and barriers surrounding this topic. More important than identifying this is what to do about them. Love and light.
