The Struggles of Choice, #494

Your Ultimate Life with Kellan Fluckiger - A podcast by Kellan Fluckiger

In this episode, we talk about our inclination to resist choosing. When we are excited about something, the choice is simple. When we are uncertain, or fearful, we resist choosing. This inclination is our resistance because we don’t want to fail. There are two parts to this. Spiritual gravity and fear of failure. First of all, spiritual gravity or the resistance to change comes from our habits. When we believe things to be a certain way, our energy and actions support that. If there is a conflict between what you believe and what you want, the beliefs will win. Second, there is a fear of failure. We deeply fear judgment and ridicule either from our own internal critics or what others think of us. That makes choice hard.
