There’s nothing like a good comedy show to make you laugh and think about the irony of our lives.Long before Dave Chappelle, Ali Wong, or  Richard Pryor, there was one comedian that changed the landscape for all comedians. He communicated about his life through comedy like no one had ever done. Lenny Bruce was a controversial character in the 50’s and 60’s who challenged the first amendment with his act by talking about politics, religion, sex, drugs, and race. He was arrested several times for the things he said and spent more time in jail than he did on stage. He died in 1966 of a drug overdose.Today's guest has taken on Lenny Bruce’s story by writing and starring in a one-man show that portrays the life and character of this controversial communicator.Ronnie Marmo is an actor, director, and producer. You may have seen him on Criminal Minds or General Hospital, but a few years back he decided to write and star in the one-man show, I’m Not a Comedian, I’m Lenny Bruce, directed by Joe Montanga.Ronnie has performed this show over 400 times.  He  joins me  in person to talk about his journey in communicating onstage through one of the most iconic performers of all time and share how that comedian has influenced us all.For more information and ticket sales click here.
