What an interesting conversation this was! This week Anna is speaking withKelsey Edwards: an actress, singer-songwriter, entrepreneur and the “internet's big sis” for girls. Kelsey has battled some unique challenges in her life, from her father’s infidelity leading to a broken family, to poverty, a severe eating disorder, anxiety, ADHD and most recently publicly leaving the Mormon church. Fast forward a few years and she is now a full-time entrepreneur living in Los Angeles, making her dreams come true. She can be seen in films like MGM’s The Wolf of Snow Hollow and Minor Details, and she has a fun role in a new comedy TV series releasing this fall. She recently sang the National Anthem for the Lakers and the US Women’s Soccer team, and her new song Life in a Box (about leaving the Mormon church) has over 100,000 plays across all platforms.  It has created many opportunities to speak, sing and guest on podcasts such as the largest ex-Mormon podcast, Mormon Stories, and several other podcasts about mental health and spirituality. Kelsey also creates advice videos for girls to help them normalize anxiety, increase self-love and improve confidence. She just released an online course called Squad Goals to help girls strengthen their relationship with themselves so they can find and maintain better friendships—and know when it’s time to let them go.
