Femmi Pod - A podcast by Lydia O'Donnell

We are so excited to be introducing our new Femmi Expert - Sport and Exercise Scientist Claire Badenhorst. Claire completed her PhD in Exercise Physiology at The University of Western Australia 2017 and now works at Massey University as a Senior Lecturer in Exercise and Sport Science. Her role at Massey University is focused on research, post-graduate student supervision, teaching, and serving as Major Leader of the Bachelor of Science (Exercise and Sport Science). Claire’s research to date has focused on health and wellbeing in athletes, with a particular interest in female physiology and the menstrual cycle, iron status and regulation, and low energy availability. With a personal research programme focused on women’s health, Claire can see the value of not only promoting women’s health research but ensuring equity and access to information to ensure all individuals can benefit from the resources, support, and information that will enable them to succeed in their health, sport, and career.
