Recovery from body hatred and disordered eating provides many layers of learning that unfold uniquely and spontaneously. “Trusting the process” means that we all work through these experiences and issues at our own pace and in our own way. We can trust that our process is exactly right for us and we don’t have to waste precious time comparing ourselves to others.Ellyn Silverman-Linnetz is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Eating Disorder Registered Dietitian Supervisor (CEDRD-S). Her expertise covers a wide area of practice from integrating nutritional healing into addiction and recovery care to nutrition therapy in eating disorders. She practices an integrative approach to nutrition intervention which includes helping clients improve their relationship with food and their find peace in their bodies so they can show up for what is most important in life. Ellyn considers herself to be a non-diet Registered Dietitian and is committed to supporting clients reach their goals through self-exploration and self-trust. She is an Intuitive Eating practitioner and comes from the philosophy of weight inclusive wellness. Ellyn has a Bachelor’s of Science in Nutrition from Rutgers University and a Master’s in Public Health from the University of South Carolina. She also completed a Fellowship at USC in Metabolic Dysregulation as well as her Physician’s Assistant degree. She is a member of IAEDP (International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals) and The International Federation of Eating Disorder Dietitians. She has authored many publications, written chapters on a variety of topics and is a national speaker on nutrition health. She currently lives in Long Beach California with her family which includes her husband Burt and her dogs Hailey and Charlie and is the proud mom of two adult daughters and a wonderful grandson.
