This week's podcast features Coach Donnie Maib & Coach Clint Martin -- Strength and Conditioning Coaches at the University of Texas. Donnie Maib is the Olympic Sports Director at the University of Texas. Donnie directly works with women’s volleyball and men’s tennis. This is his 25th year as a strength and conditioning coach and his 22nd year at the University of Texas. Prior to the University of Texas, Donnie worked as an assistant coach at the University of Colorado at Boulder. He is certified by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association and was honored with the certification of Master Strength and Conditioning Coach (MSCC). He recently launched his own podcast called “The Team Behind the Team” which focuses on the five support areas of athletic performance: behavioral/mental health, sports medicine, sports nutrition, sports science, and strength and conditioning.  Clint Martin is a former Division I athlete and is an Assistant Athletic Performance Coach at the University of Texas. Clint works with men’s and women’s track and field, men’s swimming, and women’s golf. He started out at Iowa State as a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach for men’s basketball, swimming, and diving teams. From Iowa, he went to the University of Nevada where he started up strength and conditioning for the men’s basketball team. He later had the opportunity to join Donnie at the University of Texas, and is going on his fifth year there. Clint is certified by the National Strength Coaches Associations as a strength and conditioning coach. After he graduated, Clint started ACE Athletics which helped athletes training in the NFL free agency work on developing their speed and power.
