Real Life Runners with Angie and Kevin Brown - A podcast by Angie and Kevin Brown - Thursdays

Today we want to examine the idea of suffering  - why do we put ourselves through it?  What is the cost, and is there a benefit? How can we use suffering to our advantage, knowing that we can’t avoid it, but also not put ourselves through unnecessary suffering that does not benefit us in some way? Some people try to avoid suffering and make their lives and their training as easy as possible, which leads to lack of progress and not reaching their potential.  Others seek out suffering for the point of suffering, which leads them often to overtrain, do dumb things, and get hurt.  Or they put in a workout, just because it looks hard, even though it might not be the best choice for their current training cycle or experience.  Today we are going to explore the concepts of pointless suffering and beneficial suffering, so that you can use the suffering in running to your advantage. What are your thoughts??  Come over to Instagram @realliferunners and let us know!  Thanks for Listening!! Interested in our coaching program? Check out our coaching options here.Grab your free copy of the Running Snapshot by clicking here. Come find us on Instagram and say hi!Leave a review on iTunes.
