The Hybrid Workplace - Power | Fairness | Trust: Mark Mortensen on Starting Remote

We have chosen HYBRID as the new way of work. HYBRID is challenging and faces the risk of inheriting the worst of the two worlds of work.HYBRID opens up concerns about Power - Fairness - Trust - Performance. Can we address them?Mark Mortensen (INSEAD) is joining me today, for a 2nd round of discussions, exactly 12 months after we have recorded together an episode of the Making Remote Work series. We go through the research that has been conducted this past year and talk about hybridity – power and fairness, trust, performance and adaptation. Most importantly, Mark will share his insights and tips so that the hybrid world we are walking towards will be successful for both individuals and organizationsFor those who want to access Mark's latest publications:➔ https://sloanreview.mit.edu/article/are-your-team-members-lonely/ ➔ https://knowledge.insead.edu/leadership-organisations/teams-in-evolution-and-revolution-after-the-pandemic-15876➔ https://hbr.org/2021/02/making-the-hybrid-workplace-fair➔ https://hbr.org/2021/02/wfh-is-corroding-our-trust-in-each-otherMark Mortensen is an Associate Professor of Organisational Behaviour at INSEAD.His area of expertise is organisational collaboration, with an emphasis on two increasingly prevalent ways of organising that do not fit traditional models of team dynamics: globally distributed (virtual) and project-based work.
