The C. O. W. S. w/ Stuart Buck: Acting White

The C.O.W.S. welcomes Professor Stuart Buck. A doctoral candidate in education policy College of Education and Health, Buck is a White Man with research interests in education. We'll discuss his most recent book, Acting White: The Ironic Legacy of Desegregation. The book's premise is that the product of so called school desegregation is that black teachers and administrators were largely fired. Black children were then dumped into White-dominated schools with Racist staff and children. Professor Buck asserts that at this point, academic success and scholarly habits began being associated with people classified as White.
