The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly Compensatory Call-In. We encourage non-white listeners to dial in with their codified concepts, new terms, observations, research findings, workplace problems or triumphs, and/or suggestions on how best to Replace White Supremacy With Justice ASAP. We’ll use these sessions to hone our use of words as tools to reveal truth, neutralize White people. We’ll examine news reports from the past seven days and – hopefully – promote a constructive dialog. #ANTIBLACKNESS Still in the initial stages of the global Covid-19 pandemic, we'll evaluate reports of the spread and evolution of the disease. This week, the United States become the country with the highest number of reported cases in the world. While a great deal of attention is focused on the high volume of cases in New York City, it's been quietly reported that New Orleans Louisiana has the highest per-capita rate of deaths (by a wide margin) from the virus of any county/parish in the country. The Times -Picayune reports, "One factor that is almost certainly a contributor: New Orleanians, on balance, are less healthy than other Americans, with high rates of diabetes, hypertension, obesity and other health conditions that can make one more apt to die from coronavirus." There are also a growing number of reports on so called Asian Americans being assailed and blamed for the spread of the "Chinese virus." We'll also discuss allegations that North Carolina Senator Richard Burr knew well in advance about the pending economic doom as a result of the virus. A staple of White Supremacy is deception. We'll also pause to recognize the passing of Dr. Llaila O.
