The C.O.W.S. Neutralizing Workplace Racism 04/24/20

The Context of White Supremacy hosts our Friday weekly forum on neutralizing Workplace Racism. The global suspension of activities in response to the so called coronavirus continues. All areas of people activity have been disrupted, and workers in all industries are struggling to deal with daily adjustments and new safety hazards. In the U.S., a number of states are beginning plans to reopen businesses and end the stay at home orders. This is forcing workers to navigate new procedures to maintain safety. A few C.O.W.S. listeners have discussed creating new rules to ensure social distancing and updating workplace policy to allow for more workers to remain at home. We'll also if their jobs have a public policy on how to proceed should an employee report that they are positive for the virus. It seems a number of employers are doing little to nothing to inform employees of potential health threats.
