The Context of White Supremacy hosts the premier study session on Lothrop Stoddard's signature book, The Rising Tide Of Color Against White World Supremacy. In the days before her death, psychiatrist and author Dr. Frances Cress Welsing strongly encouraged black people to read Stoddard to better understand White Supremacy in the 21st century. A journalist and Harvard-educated historian, Stoddard was an intellectual luminary during the early 1900's. He was proud proponent of Eugenics - the belief that "better" Whites should procreate, while "lesser" Whites and especially non-white people should not reproduce. In Rising Tide, Stoddard describes the threat posed to White Domination by different groups of non-white people. Much in line with Dr. Welsing's theory of White genetic annihilation, Stoddard fears that growing populations of dark people will challenge or obliterate White power. He theorizes how the global White should respond to this looming catastrophe.
