Episode 25-Tracey Dixon- Neale Overcoming severe trauma & drug addiction - finding Intermittent Fasting losing 23kg -50 pounds in 6 months.

The Fasting Highway - A podcast by Graeme Currie - Sundays

Tracey Dixon- Neale is from Onewhero in the Waikato region in the North island of New Zealand. in this episode she bravely shares her journey with us. At the age of 11 Tracey was sexually assaulted by a trusted family friend. In the years that followed she turned to food for comfort and gained weight for reasons she explains. Tracey took a diet pill medication’ at her mothers’ suggestion because of her weight which put her on a pathway to a Methamphetamine addiction. After a few years, she lost everything, except her boyfriend and hit rock bottom. Tracey started to turn her life around with her loving partner and things started to get a little better. She married and is the proud mum of four beautiful children. Tracey was shocked into doing something about her weight (115kg or 253 pounds) at a doctors’ visit earlier this year and, at his suggestion began intermittent fasting. She found early success and has lost an incredible 23kg (50 pounds) in six months. I would like to recognise Tracey’s incredible courage for sharing with us her harrowing story and the adversity she has faced.
